PCP Drug Arrest Made In Trumbull: PD

A man was found with PCP, a hallucinogenic drug, packaged for sale, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Derby man was charged with a drug offense after police found tobacco laced with PCP in a backpack, according to police.

An officer pulled over a vehicle May 8 near the mall for a cancelled registration. Operator Cesar Rivas, 30, had a suspended license and no insurance on the vehicle, police said. Rivas stepped out of the car with a locked backpack.

He admitted to drugs being inside the backpack, police said. A search found seven small plastic bags that contained cigar tobacco laced with PCP. No other drugs were found in the vehicle. The total weight was 5.4 grams.

Rivas was charged with sale of a narcotic substance and held on $15,000 bail.
