PD: Mother/Daughter Arrested for Threatening Trumbull Dentist Office

They were late for an appointment and became irate after they couldn't get another appointment the same day, police said.

A mother and her juvenile daughter were arrested after they allegedly threatened staff at a dentist office after missing an appointment.

A 40-year-old woman from Bridgeport and her 17-year-old daughter were arrested Dec. 29 after they went to a dentist office in Trumbull, but were late for an appointment, police said.

Office staff said there was no available time for an appointment that day. Bothbecame irate and threw magnets at a receptionist. The receptionist offered to schedule for tomorrow, but the two continued on their alleged tirade.

The police were called, but the two left before they arrived. Police advised office staff to call them if they showed up later.

The two arrived back and ran past the front desk to a consultation room where the woman allegedly poked a manager in the chest and made threats, police said. The daughter also made threats.

Police obtained a warrant and charged the woman with breach of peace and threatening, both in the second degree.
