The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ: Corpus Christi
June 23, 2019
It was an incredibly beautiful day for St. Catherine’s **first-ever** Corpus Christi Procession in the streets of Historic Nichols! The love of Our Lord and the beauty of our shared faith tangibly surrounded us through-out our Corpus Christi procession. The weather was picture perfect, and the choir, the servers, and the praying faithful all put their heart and soul into making it as beautiful as possible. It was a moving and joyful manifestation of our faith in Christ’s real presence in the Holy Eucharist, which is the center of our lives.

Special thanks: To Dr. Atwood and the Parish Choir for leading us in song and setting a prayerful tone for the day. To the MC Team, led by Patrick Dineen, who served with dedication and dignity and brought reverence and precision to the Mass as well as the procession. To Mike Krajewski, Frank Mantero, Frank Metrusky, and Damien O’Connor, who carried the canopy. To the Welcome Team which always presents a warm and welcoming face for our Parish to our parishioners and visitors. To Sal Spadaccino and Ellen Moran who presented an equally beautiful reception after the procession. To Jim Panullo and Lou Spina for their help in countless ways -- seen and unseen -- preparing for and during the event. To Ken Martin, Sr., and the Nichols Improvement Association for the use of their beautiful field and gazebo. And lastly, a special thanks to the Chief Michael Lombardo and the Trumbull Police Department who kept everyone safe throughout the event. We couldn’t have done any of this without you!
