Police: Cleaner Stole Jewelry in Trumbull

A woman tasked with cleaning a home in Trumbull was arrested after she allegedly stole jewelry and a blank check from the owner.

Police arrested Noemi Nieves, 36, of Bridgeport after the homeowner noticed her rings were missing, according to the Trumbull Times.

The cleaning company told the owner that Nieves had been arrested in Westport on similar charges.

Nieves was charged with second-egree larceny.
