Pregnant Woman Arrested After Punching Employee: Trumbull PD

She punched an employee during a shoplifting attempt, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A pregnant Bridgeport woman was arrested after she attacked a loss prevention employee at Macy's as she tried to flee the store with stolen items Aug. 16, according to police.

A loss prevention employee noticed that a woman selected multiple items and rushed toward the exit door. She threw items at the employee and also punched the employee in the face, police said.

Dometazia Tucker, 23, was eventually restrained. She said she was pregnant and EMS checked her out and said she was ok, police said.

The total value of items taken was $510.

She was charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree assault and sixth-degree larceny. Bond was set at $2,500.
