TRUMBULL, CT—A number of officials are calling for Trumbull Police Commissioner Roger McGovern to resign amid a harassment investigation.
Democratic Town Chairman Tom Kelly and Town Council Minority Leader Beth Thornton called for McGovern to step down, according to the Trumbull Times. They also called into question whether there would have been any investigation if media reports of an incident didn't surface.
McGovern was the subject of a harassment complaint after he confronted a man about damage to his vehicle near his home and at his place of work, according to police. He was told by police officials to go through the proper channels to resolve his dispute with the bicyclist that hit his vehicle.
