Probate Court May Move from Trumbull to Monroe

A joint letter was sent by Trumbull and Monroe town attorneys asking for the state's permission to move the court.

TRUMBULL, CT— The probate court currently located in Trumbull may move to Monroe in the future.

The court serves Monroe, Easton and Trumbull and the new proposed location is Chalk Hill in Monroe, according to the Trumbull Times. The building was occupied by the Sandy Hook school from Newtown while its new building was being built.

Some concern was expressed at a Monroe Board of Education meeting about security issues because Jockey Hollow Middle School uses the building and parking lot.
