Distribution Of Free Coronavirus Test Kits Delayed In Trumbull
UPDATE: The town has closed the registration process for kits, according to officials.

TRUMBULL, CT — Reservations were being accepted for Trumbull residents to receive a free home coronavirus testing kit, but the distribution of the kits has been delayed, according to officials.
"The shipment of the COVID-19 rapid test kits to Connecticut is still delayed," First Selectman Vicki Tesoro said in a statement Thursday. "Unfortunately, we must cancel today's delivery of the kits to the community due to the shipping delays. As soon as we receive confirmation of the arrival of the shipment, we will set up a new delivery date.
"Your reservation still holds. There is no action you need to take at this time."

Kits were scheduled to be distributed Thursday at Unity Park, Unity Park Road in Trumbull. The town is no longer taking registrations, because the expected number of kits in the shipment are all accounted for.
"Photo identification MUST be shown at the time of pick up," officials said in a statement. "Due to limited availability, the town is only able to provide ONE COVID-19 home test kit at this time. This is only available to Trumbull residents."
