Robber in Trumbull Taunts Store After Shoplifting, Gets Arrested: PD
The arrestee has numerous convictions for larceny.

TRUMBULL, CT—A woman called back a store in the Trumbull mall to taunt employees after getting away with hundreds of dollars in merchandise, according to police.
Willaneshia Beverly, 25, of Stamford along with another person went to the Eblens store and put items in a bag, according to police. A manager confronted the two and tried to stop them, but Beverly pushed the manager and ran away.
Beverly later called the store and taunted employees about getting away with the merchandise, police said.

A total of $237 was taken.
Police are already familiar with Beverly and had an active warrant from a 2015 robbery at the Victoria's Secret store in the Trumbull mall.

The case was similar and Beverly pushed away a manager who confronted her about filling a garbage bag with store goods. Nearly $800 worth of merchandise was taken in that incident.
Police and loss prevention at the mall captured the incidents on video and identified Beverly after already being familiar with her from other shoplifting incidents.
Beverly turned herself in Aug. 23. She already has five convictions for larceny along with other criminal convictions, according to court records. Beverly also has two other larceny cases that are pending in court.
She was charged with second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass for the Eblens incident and third-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass for the Victoria's Secret incident.
