Safety Improvement Coming To Rt. 111 Crossing
The Pequannock River Trail will get a temporary safety improvement until the traffic light project is complete.

TRUMBULL, CT — The town will install a temporary light beacon and improved crosswalk at the Pequannock River Trail crossing on Route 111 until major safety improvements are complete.
Eventually a traffic light will be installed near the Fitness Edge plaza entrance. The state Department of Transportation is in the design review phase of the project. A final approval must also be completed by the DOT before construction.
The current trail crossing will be relocated to match up with the new traffic light.

I have long advocated for a light at this location on Route 111," said First Selectman Vicki Tesoro. "Although the process takes longer than we all would like, I’m pleased that we are finally moving in the right direction. We are doing everything we can to expedite the process with our partners at the State.”
