Schools Can Begin Fall Sports Conditioning Monday: CIAC

Schools may begin sports conditioning activities on Monday but may not resume practices until Saturday.

TRUMBULL, CT – Schools may begin sports conditioning activities on Monday but may not resume practices until Saturday, the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CICA) announced Sunday night.

In its announcement, CIAC said conditioning and non-contact skill work during practices may happen in small cohorts and must adhere to guidance from the National Federation of State High School Associations and the Department of Public Health.

This type of activity is considered low risk, regardless of the sport, CIAC said.
