Shelter-In-Place Lifted For Trumbull Neighborhood, Suspect In Custody

For hours, police from several agencies searched on foot for the suspect in the Unity Road neighborhood.

TRUMBULL, CT — An emergency shelter-in-place alert has been lifted for a Trumbull neighborhood and an armed suspect is in custody, the Trumbull Police Department said Thursday afternoon.

For hours, police from several agencies searched on foot for the suspect in the Unity Road neighborhood including on Unity Road, Saybrook Road, Partridge Lane, Windmill Lane, and Priscilla Place.

Police initially announced the search just before 10:30 a.m. The shelter-in-place was still in effect at 12:30 p.m. but was finally lifted around 1 p.m.

The shelter-in-place notification was sent to people in the area through the Trumbull Citizen Alert system and included streets south of Unity Road.
