Some Teams Cry Foul on Trumbull Field Use
Youth sport organizations have said that field use policies are unclear and want more transparency on how decision are made.

Trumbull youth sports teams are advocating for a clearer policy when it comes to field use.
President of Trumbull Youth Lacrosse Ted Chase said that there is a field-use policy, but it isn’t clear for every situation and he would like more transparency on how decisions are made, according to the Connecticut Post.

First Selectman Tim Herbst said that it is a common complaint that certain organizations are given preference over others for field use. He added that he hopes a newly proposed parks and recreations department director position would bring greater organization.
Trumbull has separate parks and recreation departments, which isn’t similar to other nearby towns that have a single department. Some Democrats on the town council have said the position isn’t needed.
