Trumbull School Parents Question Why Town Hasn't Changed Bus Service Provider

In the wake of three separate incidents in which school children were abused while riding the bus to and from school, some school parents are questioning why Trumbull continues to use the same service provider.

Some school parents are reportedly questioning why the school administration hasn't switched to another school bus service provider following three incidents in which children were abused while riding buses run by current provider, Cincinnati, Ohio-based .

According to a report in the CT Post, two of the incidents involved bus monitors abusing autistic children, while a third involved a driver who took photos of students which he said he was going to upload to Facebook.

Last month it was reported that in connection with one of the incidents which occurred in 2010. The lawsuit claims that the abuse of Stagliano's autistic daughter, Isabella, by a school bus aide has had a physical and emotional impact on her.

As reported on , Jennifer Davila, a school bus aide for First Student, was given a suspended sentence in May 2011 after pleading guilty to second-degree reckless endangerment for abusing the girl.

Davila's mother, Evelyn Guzman, was the school bus driver at the time the incidents took place. She was in April 2011 after being for sending and receiving more than 1,000 text messages on her cell phone while driving the bus.
