Spooktacular Trail Event

It’s Halloween time! Do you enjoy Halloween and all the spooky, gory events that go along with it? If you do, come join the Trumbull Health Department, Trumbull Nature& Arts Center and Denali on a Spooktacular Trail Walk on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center, 7115 Main Street, Trumbull. Walk the trail, follow the mystery clues and identify the “gory” contents in the mystery boxes. Earn a chance to win a prize. This FREE event is geared to those 7 – 14 years of age but all are welcome. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The walk is approximately a half mile and the terrain is moderate.

“We are delighted to partner, once again, with the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center and Denali on this event,” said Rhonda Capuano, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “The Health Department is committed to promoting physical activity and this is a great opportunity for us to partner with other organizations on an event for our youth.”

“The Trumbull Nature & Arts Center is dedicated to providing nature-rich experiences to the members of our community,” said Sheryl Baumann, Consulting Director of the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center. “A spooky discovery walk on our nature trails is the perfect way for kids to have outdoor fun this fall.”

A nature scavenger hunt will also take place for those interested. Educational information on hiking and hiking safety will be available.
