State Dems Criticize Trumbull Commissioner's Facebook Comment

A Trumbull Parks and Recreation Commissioner came under fire from Democrats after posting a message on Facebook about President Barack Obama.

Richard Moore wrote on a Facebook post, “I am very surprised Obama has not taken a bullet yet…”

Connecticut Democrats posted a screenshot on Twitter and called the comment despicable and said they hadn’t heard from First Selectman Tim Herbst about the comment.

Moore said the comment was blown out of proportion and that he was saying he was surprised that mayhem in the South after the shooting in South Carolina didn’t escalate to that level, according to the Trumbull Times.

First Selectman Tim Herbst fired back on Twitter with a graphic criticizing four Malloy appointees and said that people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
