State Fines Liquor Store In Trumbull For Alcohol Sale To Minor

Wine & Hops also will have its liquor permit suspended for a day.

TRUMBULL, CT — Wine & Hops, a liquor store on Monroe Turnpike in Trumbull, was fined $500 by the state Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission for sale of alcohol to a minor, the Connecticut agency announced.

Details of the infraction were not disclosed, but in addition to the fine, the store also will have its liquor permit suspended for a day on Aug. 2.

The penalties were either after a hearing between the commission and the store, or following a voluntary settlement where the establishment agrees to the discipline without a finding of fault.
