Stolen Car Recovery Leads To Arrest At Trumbull Mall: Police

TRUMBULL, CT — A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after police found a vehicle that had been reported stolen parked at the Trumbull Mall, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Brian Weir said officers found a Nissan Rogue parked in the Trumbull mall parking lot around noon.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from Bridgeport on April 5, Weir said.

Inside the car, officers found Courtney Estaba, 33, of Bridgeport, who told officers the driver had picked him up and they came to the mall together, Weir said. He also told police he was waiting in the car while the driver went inside the Macy's store at the mall before officers arrived.

When officers arrested Estaba, they found the keys to the car in the vehicle's ignition, Weir said.

Estaba was charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny and later released on a $10,000. bond. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month, Weir said.
