Stolen Vehicle Leads to Trumbull Arrest: PD

The incident started as a stop for a vehicle without a license plate.

TRUMBULL, CT— Police arrested a Bridgeport woman after she was found to be driving a stolen vehicle, according to police.

An officer was on patrol on Old Town Road and observed a vehicle with no front plate. He ran the vehicle's registration and noticed the plate had been unregistered since 2015 and belonged on another vehicle.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and the operator, Cristina Ortiz, 27, only had a state ID card and no driver's license.
