Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Trumbull: PD

A stolen vehicle and suspected stolen goods were recovered, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two people were arrested and a stun gun was recovered after police stopped a stolen vehicle near the Trumbull mall, according to police.

An officer noticed that a vehicle's trunk was open on Main Street and pulled it over. The registration check showed the vehicle was reported stolen from New Haven, police said. A stun gun was found in the motor vehicle during an inventory check.

Police also found $1,384 worth of suspected stolen merchandise.

Driver Taylor Wells, 25, of New Haven was charged with second-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Passenger Yamillett Candelario, 25, of Hamden was charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny and fourth-degree larceny.
