Student, 9, Struck By Vehicle In Trumbull
The student was trying to catch her school bus when she was struck by a vehicle.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 9-year-old Trumbull student was struck by a passing vehicle while trying to catch her school bus Wednesday morning, according to police.
The Middlebrook School student ran out into the middle of Main Street near Pinehurst Street around 8:15 a.m. and into the path of a southbound vehicle.
The vehicle drove around a Greater Bridgeport Transit bus that was stopped for passengers at the same location, said Capt. Keith Golding, police spokesman. To sign up for Trumbull breaking news alerts and more, click here.

The student was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where she is being treated for a leg injury.
"All vehicles and drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation," Golding said. "No charges have yet been filed, but the investigation continues."
