Student’s Family Sues Trumbull, BOE, School Van Company: Report
A Trumbull family filed the lawsuit in connection with the student injuring himself on a school van and also getting out onto Route 8.
TRUMBULL, CT — A Trumbull family is seeking $15,000 in damages in a lawsuit against the town of Trumbull, the Trumbull Board of Education and school van company Durham School Services, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports the lawsuit claims the defendants were negligent and failed to keep the teenaged student safe while on a school van.
The lawsuit was filed about two years after the teen, a former special education student at Milestones Behavioral Services School, injured himself in three separate incidents while on a school van, according to the Post. The lawsuit also claims the student managed to get out onto Route 8 after the driver stopped the van, the Post reported.
