Student Threatened To 'Shoot Up' Trumbull High: PD
The student was arrested after making threats on a social media site.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 16-year-old female student was arrested March 14 after she threatened to "shoot up" Trumbull High School on social media, according to police.
Several concerned students and staff approached a school resource officer with evidence of the threat. Police immediately detained the suspected student, said Lt. Doug Smith, police spokesman. A photo of the student with a handgun was linked to the threat.
"Police then located a replica gun in the student’s home and determined it was the one from the posting but it was not a functioning firearm," Smith said.
