TEA, Town Agree on Health Care Change

Teachers and others covered under the bargaining unit will move to the CT Partnership 2.0 health care plan

TRUMBULL, CT- The Trumbull Education Association and the town have come to an agreement over a change from Anthem to the CT Partnership 2.0 health care plan.

The plan is anticipated to save both users and the town money, according to the Trumbull Times.

Teachers and other members of the association will see a drop in the percentage they have to pay for their health care coverage. Currently they pay 20.5 percent, which will come down to 18 percent and through years increase to 18.5 percent, 19 percent and 19.5 percent in the final year of the contract.

Layoff notices to 80 teachers are no longer necessary and a meeting to discuss it was cancelled, according to the Times.
