"They want to be able to share their passion for fine Asian Dining in this area," he said. "They succeed, the mall succeeds. Westfield's such an integral part of the community," Hwang said.

Mall Senior General Manager Bryan Gaus added, "TEN Asian Bistro enhances our vision for the property. It creates a new experience for our customers, introduces more casual sit down dining and creates new jobs for the community."

The Chinese New Year's event, marking the year of the Dragon, will feature traditional Chinese dancing and martial arts displays, and food and drink will be served.

Guests who register online will receive a gift called "hung bao," or "red envelope," containing a token of appreciation from the restaurant. Some of the event proceeds will benefit the Swim Across the Sound.

The new year celebration encompasses the feelings of American New Years, Easter, the Fourth of July and Rosh Hashana, Hwang said. It incorporates gift giving, new beginnings and celebration. The event will run from 3 to 7 p.m. outside of the restaurant.
