Taking the First Step to End Gender-Based Violence! Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® (WAM) is a fun and engaging community awareness event that serves to engage men and boys to take the first step (pun intended) to end violence against women and girls during Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness Month. Funds raised from the walk will support Elizabeth M. Pfriem Camp HOPE America - Bridgeport, CFJ’s evidence-based summer camp and year-long engagement and mentoring program for young people ages 7-17 who have experienced the trauma of domestic and/or sexual violence. Please “Walk a Mile” to help a camper hike a mile this summer! Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is produced by CFJ's Men Against Violence initiative, a group of male community leaders who collaborate with us to take a stand against abuse of women and girls. Everyone is welcome to participate! High heels optional.

On Saturday, May 2 the United Methodist Church of Monroe will be hosting our Paper Shredding Fundraiser AND introducing Electronics Recycling. Now take advantage of a one-stop source for confidential, convenient document and data destruction with Affordable Solutions, LLC.
Stop by between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at 435 Main Street, Monroe (corner of Route 25 and Route 59). We’ll be there rain or shine! Paper Shredding: STILL ONLY $10 for a standard archive box (15”x12”x10”); price increases $5 according to container size.
Electronics Recycling: Cell phones, hard drives and tablets: $10/per Computers and laptops: $20/per

This is the Annual Asher’s Answer 5K Run/Walk in honor of&nbsp;<a href="https://ashersanswer.org/about/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher Nathaniel Gibson.</a>
All proceeds will be used to provide support to our non-profit organization, <a href="https://ashersanswer.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher’s Answer</a>, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial support to families of children with rare trisomies.
This year, there will be games and activities for children under age 13, so feel free to bring the entire family!!!
NOTE: For safety and security purposes, race participants must be at least 13 yrs of age. Children younger than that can still come and participate in various games/activities while their parents race, but cannot race. Infant and toddlers may race with their parents only if they are transported in strollers or strapped to parents (ie body carriers).
