Trumbull Announces 2026 Back To School Supply Drive

TRUMBULL, CT — The town announced Wednesday that Trumbull Human Services is collecting new school supplies and gift cards to "help fill backpacks for our friends and neighbors in need."

According to the town website, donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trumbull Senior Center, located at 23 Priscilla Place in Trumbull.

"It's back-to-school time," the website reads. "Before you know it, school buses will be filled with students heading off for a new year. Help us give local children a great start by supporting our back-to-school supply drive."

The department is hoping to supply the following items to Trumbull families in need:

Gift Cards (preferred in $25 or $50 amounts)

• Target, Walmart, Staples, Dollar Tree.

Most Needed Items

• Backpacks, lunchboxes, pencil pouches or pencil boxes.

• #2 pencils, mechanical pencils, blue, black, and red pens.

• Crayons, colored pencils, highlighters, glue sticks.
• Spiral notebooks 1 subject, 3 subject and 5 subject.
• Loose-leaf notebook paper (wide and college ruled).
• 1-inch binders.
• Binder dividers.
• Scientific calculators.
• Earbuds or headphones.

• Reusable water bottles.
