RCA is a place where students can spread their wings in the areas of dance, music, theatre, creative media/filmmaking, technical theatre and musical theatre through classes and more than 25 performances each year.

All teachers are professionals with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to share. Students also learn from the experiences of guest artists, including Broadway actors, leaders in the dance community, and highly successful musicians.

"Our small class sizes allow our teachers to focus on individual growth of students in their chosen area of study," Principal Eric Nyquist said in a news release. "Our students are encouraged to be creative and disciplined in their work. Our halls are filled with students singing, dancing, playing guitar and practicing monologues. The place is full of energy!"

There is no cost to apply, enroll or attend RCA, which is operated by Cooperative Educational Services (CES), one of the six regional educational service centers established by the state legislature.

Applications are online and open for the 2023-24 school year. As part of the admission process, students will participate in a placement audition in March to better understand their experience as a performer and to gauge their commitment to their art form.
