TRUMBULL, CT — The Board of Education approved a budget request that comes with a 4.56 percent increase in spending from the current budget.
The budget even if approved by the Board of Finance, Town Council and First Selectman Vicki Tesoro wouldn't keep current levels because it would absorb the current $2 million school budget deficit, according to the Trumbull times.
Former Superintendent Gary Cialfi's budget proposal came with a 3.51 percent increase, but it was amended because of some inaccuracies including accounts that hadn't been funded in two years.
