TRUMBULL, CT — Police arrested a local man who is accused of breaking into the community center building at the Stern Village senior housing complex.
Todd Nichols, 42, was seen inside the center after hours around 9 p.m. Sept. 6 and fled from a security officer, said Capt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
The security officer recognized Nichols. The front lock and hinges had been broken on the community center door, Golding said.

He was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
