The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and
this is what I intend to do about it.

The numerous recently approved zoning changes will have a significant
negative impact on the character of our town that will financially burden our
school system and strain our town emergency and public works services. I have
continued to be an advocate for responsible and controlled development in
town and have a continuously fought for expense reductions to reduce the
burden on the taxpayers of Trumbull.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates
seeking this post?
As a business person with over 30 years of experience and proven track
record in business, finance, accounting and management, I am able to use that
expertise to strike a balance among responsible and controlled spending,
grand list growth, while maintaining
an exceptional school system and optimum level of town services.
List other issues that define your campaign platform:
I am keenly focused on keeping our tax rate as stable as possible through
controlled and responsible spending, expense reductions and grand list
growth. Balance among responsible spending, stable taxes, quality town
services and a strong school system keep our property values up, our children
well educated while making it affordable for seniors to stay in town during
their retirement.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle
this job?
I have served on the Town Council for three terms as an active member of
the Finance Committee, including serving as the Vice Chairperson, and have
also served on the Education and Public Works committees. I have worked
diligently to achieve cost savings to reduce town expenses. I was
instrumental in obtaining approval for the repaving of Madison Avenue and
advocated with my neighbors for the removal and repaving of the hazardous
glassphalt streets throughout town. I
continue to advocate in opposition of the recent radical zoning changes in an
effort to ensure responsible and controlled development and have supported
obtaining grant money for improvement projects, including the improvements to
Long Hill Green and various paving projects throughout town.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
Never settle for average, always give 100% to whatever you choose to do,
work hard and make a difference in the lives of others.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your
positions?
I have proudly called Trumbull my home for almost my entire life. I am the
mother of three, an active community volunteer and an experienced business
person. My husband and I met at Trumbull High School and chose to raise our
family in Trumbull due to its outstanding school system and wonderful sense
of community. For my entire adult life, I have been an active community
volunteer serving on and Chairing various PTSA committees and boards, am an
active member of the Friends of Appalachia and participate on its annual
service trip, was as a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, am a Junior
Achievement instructor and have been a Catechism instructor at Christ the
King Church.
