The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and
this is what I intend to do about it.

The proliferation of apartments in town will greatly change our small town
feel, drastically overcrowd the school system, and strain first responder
services. I will push for expanding
the Grand List by refocusing this development to bring large and small
business tenants.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates
seeking this post?
I am not a politician. This is my first experience in government. I bring a fresh set of ideas, and life experiences to a position that desperately needs them.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder
failed the community (or district or constituency)?
The current administration has relaxed zoning regulations allowing a huge influx of apartment building approvals. Decisions about library refurbishment, a new senior center, and aquatic center appear to be stuck in committees. The idea of a Community Center, which could address all three, has been abandoned.
List other issues that define your campaign platform:
Issues such as spending in town hall on executive positions, pay raises,
double dipping employees, along with excessive legal fees.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle
this job?
As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a flight crew member on the P3 Orion aircraft, I was given the opportunity to develop a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and trust early in my life. Working at Sikorsky Aircraft for a good number of years helped me to appreciate the importance of working with people and sharing ideas to solve problems. As a 20 year teacher in the Trumbull School System, I fully understand the importance of maintaining a state-of-the-art school system.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
My dad told me when I was very young "No matter what you choose to do
in life, always give 100%, never settle for second best."
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your
positions?
I would love to hear from the people of my district, on a regular basis, regarding the issues they feel strongest about in our town. I want to represent their point of view.
