Trumbull Car Theft Arrest Made: PD

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested for a car theft that occurred in late 2017, according to police.

A 2011 Subaru Legacy was stolen from a Trumbull residence Dec. 21, 2017 and found the following month in Bridgeport. Police obtained DNA evidence from the vehicle that was matched back to Kenyatta Raines, 22, of Bridgeport, police said.

Raines was in custody on an unrelated case. Police confirmed his DNA with a new search warrant. He was charged with second-degree larceny and third-degree burglary.
