Trumbull Coach Among 2026 CT Women's Basketball Hall Of Fame Inductees

The Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Committee has announced its 2026 class of inductees.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Committee recently announced its 2026 class of inductees, including a Trumbull high school coach.

According to a news release provided by the CT Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, Chris Lindwall will be inducted this year in the "High School Coach" category.

A 21-year tenure as a high school coach, with eight years at Joel Barlow High School in Redding and 13 years at St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Lindwall compiled a 342-56 overall record, four divisional titles in the South-West Conference and four Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference crowns, according to the release.

The Trumbull resident guided Joel Barlow to the 1995 state title and guided the Cadets to the 2015 state title, becoming the only coaching girls basketball history to win titles at two different schools, according to the release.

He also earned two other runner-up plaques in 1998 and 2022, the release notes.

An assistant at Fairfield University for seven years, Lindwall and the 2001 team were inducted into the school's hall of fame in 2018, according to the release.

He is currently the athletic director at Lauralton Hall in Milford, the release notes.

The 37th Annual Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon will be held April 26 at the Aqua Turf Club, located at 556 Mulberry Street in Plantsville.

According to the release, the Hall of Fame "honors those who have contributed to the enhancement of women’s basketball in Connecticut -- either through participation, through service, through support, or through achievement.
