Trumbull Declaration Of Independence Reading, Celebration Of America 250 Details Released
The town has announced details for its annual public reading of the Declaration of Independence and Celebration of America 250.

TRUMBULL, CT — The town has announced details for its annual public reading of the Declaration of Independence and Celebration of America 250 scheduled for July 4.
According to the town website, the event will take place at 10 a.m. on the front steps of Town Hall, located at 5866 Main Street, and feature citizen volunteers reading the declaration along with musical performances and patriotic presentations.
"Trumbull Parks & Recreation is proud to make this possible in collaboration with We the People, the Trumbull Historical Society, Trumbull Scouts, the Town of Trumbull, Trumbull Public Library and our many dedicated volunteers," a post on the town website reads.

The event will also highlight a special exhibit focused on Trumbull's Revolutionary War history, meticulously curated and led by Chief Park Ranger Steve Chapman, the website notes.
According to town officials, Chapman is also the vice president, historian and chaplain for the Colonel Wadsworth Branch #7 of the Connecticut Sons of the American Revolution.

The outdoor event is free and open to the public.
Lawn chairs or blankets are recommended for seating during the event, according to the town.
