TRUMBULL, CT — Officers arrested a Stratford man after he was found to be driving under the influence, according to police.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Penny Avenue Dec. 15. One of the drivers said that a vehicle crossed over the double-yellow line and struck her vehicle.
The other driver, identified as Owals Deura, 26, of Stratford said he looked down at his phone and accidentally drifted into the opposing lane of traffic, police said. An officer smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed that an open cup in the car smelled of alcohol as well.
