Trumbull Election 2021 Profile: Paul S. Lavoie

TRUMBULL, CT — Election Day is approaching fast, and a number of key positions in Trumbull will be on the ballot.

To help readers make an informed decision on Nov. 2, Patch has reached out to local candidates to share their views on various topics of importance in town.

Republican Paul S. Lavoie, 61, is running for Town Treasurer in Trumbull.

Occupation: General Manager, Carey Manufacturing

Family: Wife, Cindy. Son Luke, Daughter in Law Callie, Son Evan, Son Andrew and Daughter in Law Kelly, Daughter Caroline

Experience: Board of Education, Board of Finance, Board of Assessment Appeals, and Land Acquisition Board

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Long term fiscal health. As Treasurer, I will invest the town's money wisely, and support the First Selectman by developing sound fiscal policies and procedures and serve as a trusted advisor to the First Selectman and Town Staff.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I have a broad range of experience in the public and private sector with over 15 years of General Management experience. I have served as Vice Chair of the Board of Finance and Finance Chair of the Board of Education.

Accomplishments:

My success as a member of the Board of Finance and Board of Education as well as my long track record of significant financial success as a senior executive
