The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Strengthening and increasing the breadth of educational opportunities for all of our students while addressing the severe learning and social/emotional costs of the pandemic. I will support increased educational funding and leveraging state/federal grants to accomplish the district goals.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I have broad management experience that spans business and education environments with particular expertise in operations, finance, and technology. I have a long history of volunteer leadership in our schools and community with PTA, TPAUD, and the Golden Eagles Marching Band.
Accomplishments:
In my work I successfully manage compliance reporting with the State Department of Education for four CT school districts; in town I have established stronger dialog among the district and volunteer organizations that support education.
Other issues:
Expand transparency regarding BOE finances; implement later school start times; increase equity and diversity work; supporting a long term capital improvement plan to improve our school facilities.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I'm a dedicated volunteer who works tirelessly to support those things I commit to. I recognize the work that still needs to be done and I'm committed to serve for another term on the Trumbull Board of Education.
