The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Continuing to offer a world class education in the Trumbull school district making sure to consider equity and diversity for all of our students .
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I seek to be re-elected to the Trumbull BoE in order to give the same or even better experience to the students of Trumbull that my own children both received. As Vice Chairman of the board and I was instrumental in helping to solve the unprecedented challenges we experienced over the last two years.
Accomplishments:
As Vice Chairman of the board, I was instrumental in helping to rectify a serious deficit left by the previous administration. I also was instrumental in the hiring of an interim superintendent and our current superintendent and our current assistant superintendent. Since my time on the board we have also brought in a new business manager, human resource director and head of special education as well. This is an unprecedented amount of new hires in such a short period of time, and all in the midsts of a global pandemic. I am extremely proud of the team of administrators hired by the BoE over my last two years in office.
Other issues:
My platform is simple, I have made my decisions as a parent, teacher, and administrator and taxpayer all to continue the world class education that my own children received while attending Trumbull public schools. If re-elected I will continue to make my decisions based on these motives.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I have been involved in education for 30 years as a teacher and team leader and administrator. I am extremely dedicated to the Trumbull School system always trying to maintain or increase the level of education that my own children received. Trumbull is a very special place and I am very proud and honored to have served on the Board of Education.
