Trumbull Elementary School Named 2022 National Blue Ribbon School
Booth Hill Elementary School in Trumbull is one of four schools in Connecticut recently named a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School.
TRUMBULL, CT — U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced Friday that Booth Hill Elementary School in Trumbull has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, one of four schools in Connecticut.
The National Blue Ribbon Program recognizes schools in two performance categories.
According to a news release, Booth Hill received recognition as an Exemplary High-Performing School and is among the state's highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.

"We are so proud of the high-quality teaching and learning that occurs across all of our school buildings," Superintendent Martin Semmel said in a news release. "This recognition from the National Blue Ribbon program is such an honor and a validation of all of the hard work of our students, teachers, parents, and support staff at Booth Hill and across the district. We are honored that Booth Hill was chosen to represent the exemplary work of teachers and students across all of Connecticut schools."
The National Blue Ribbon Awards will be presented formally to schools on Nov. 3 and 4 in Washington, D.C. The National Blue Ribbon School program identified 297 schools across the nation to receive this honor.

"This achievement embodies Trumbull's deep commitment to education," Booth Hill Principal Dana Pierce said in a news release. "We're very fortunate in Trumbull. Our first selectman and Board of Education set the tone for Trumbull's outstanding school system. We have excellent leadership at the top, an incredibly talented staff at Booth Hill who goes above and beyond for our students and families, and a parent community that walks side by side with us to achieve what we all want: to provide the very best to our students and families."
