Trumbull Flag Day Celebration Details Announced

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull will host a special Flag Day celebration this weekend on the Long Hill Green.

According to the town website, residents are invited to join town officials for a special celebration Sunday at 9 a.m. as they dedicate a new landmark flagpole on the green, located at 6528 Main Street.

Trumbull officials noted the celebration will take place as the town nears the completion of the Long Hill Green restoration.

"Representatives from our veterans' groups will have the honor of raising the very first ceremonial flag on the green, accompanied by performances from Trumbull's All-District Honors Elementary Band," the town website reads.

The free outdoor event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for comfort.

"Come be a part of this memorable community moment," the website reads, "we hope to see you there!"
