High blood pressure is very common but dangerous illness. In fact, 1 in 3 U.S. adults have high blood pressure. High blood pressure typically has no warning signs or symptoms and is usually diagnosed by a doctor during a routine checkup. Without medical attention, high blood pressure can lead to cardiovascular disease and increase your risk of a stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. To prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease, knowing your blood pressure numbers is crucial and could save your life. Stop by the free blood pressure screening offered by the Trumbull Health Department to see if your numbers are in a healthy range.
