Trumbull High 2019 Graduation Guide

PLACE: Trumbull High School Athletic Field - In the event of dangerous weather, the ceremony

will take place inside.
TIME: 5:45 p.m. – (Approximately 1 & 1/2 hours) Processional of graduates begins at 5:45 p.m.

IMPORTANT: Only students who have met all Board of Education graduation
requirements will be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

SCHOOL INDEBTEDNESS: All seniors are asked to check the posted lists in their House Office
for outstanding obligations. Please see the appropriate house office, Media Center, or the
Athletic Department to resolve indebtedness. Please take care of all obligations no later than
Thursday, June 13, 2019.

CAP & GOWN: All caps and gowns MUST be picked up by the graduate on Friday, June 14,
2019, from 7:45 – 10:45 a.m. Pick-up will be in the front of the auditorium. Entrance will be
allowed through the front of the building only. Seniors are required to pick up their cap and
gown on this day. If there is a problem with the pick-up, the senior needs to see Mr. Manuel.
TICKETS: Tickets will be distributed only after the “Procedure for Removal Form” has been
signed and returned on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 7:45 – 10:45 a.m.., in the front of the
auditorium. Entrance will be allowed through the front of the building only. Do not return the
Procedure for Removal Form to your homeroom or advisory teacher. Tickets will not be
available any other day. Each senior will receive seven outdoor tickets and two indoor tickets.

On Monday, June 17, 2019, at the designated ticket pick-up time, students will verify that
they have received 7 outdoor and 2 inside tickets, and they will sign off that they have
received them. As the class of 2019 is very large, NO extra tickets are available for the indoor
ceremony; only 2 tickets will be allocated to each senior. Please DO NOT CALL the offices
requesting extra tickets. Seniors are required to pick up their tickets on this day.

MANDATORY GRADUATION REHEARSAL: Place: Auditorium, proceed to Gymnasium
Time: 8:45 a.m.
Date: Tuesday, June 18, 2019
GRADUATION DAY: Tuesday, June 18, 2019, seniors report to Advisory by 5:00 p.m.
Commons will be available from 4:30 on.
Admittance to the building will be limited to graduates only.
ATTIRE: (See Graduation Behavior Guide)

WEARING OF TASSEL: During processional and through awarding of diplomas, the
tassel is worn on the left side of the mortarboard. On signal from the stage, and after all diplomas
have been awarded, the tassel will be shifted to the right side of the mortarboard.

ISSUANCE OF DIPLOMAS: After the graduation ceremony, seniors are to report to their
advisory teachers in the area designated by your advisory number in the senior lounge or media
center.
