Trumbull High Marching Band in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The marching band has a long history of performing in momentous occasions.

TRUMBULL, CT- The Trumbull High School marching band was chosen to march in the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The school's band last marched in the parade during 1997and it has also been at the presidential inaugural parades for President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, according to Fox 61.

Only 10 marching bands are picked each year for the parade out of hundreds of applications.

Band members learned of the selection Wednesday evening at what they thought was a normal banquet dinner.

The band consists of more than 100 musicians, 25 color guard performers and drum majors, according to the Connecticut Post.
