Trumbull To Hold Planting Ceremony At Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park

TRUMBULL, CT — A special planting ceremony is scheduled to take place this month at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in Trumbull.

According to the town website, community members are invited to join Trumbull Parks and Recreation, the Trumbull Conservation Commission and the Long Hill Garden Club for the special planting ceremony Nov. 15 at 9:30 a.m.

Participants are invited to celebrate this beautification project of a pollinator pathway for insects and wildlife, town officials said.

According to town officials, the combination of efforts have brought together a likeminded mission to create a garden of native plants in Trumbull alongside wetlands, pathways and benches, with the anticipation of the garden blooming in early spring 2024 through Memorial Day.

Members of the Long Hill Garden Club will be planting bulbs during the event to begin the alluring process of what will prove to be a welcoming vision of beauty, town officials said.
