TRUMBULL, CT — A Chatham Drive residence was heavily damaged by a fire early Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived to find an active fire on the second floor of the single family residence around 2 a.m. Home occupants safely got out of the building, according to the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company.
Trumbull Center, Nichols and Long Hill Fire Departments also responded to the scene to help get the fire under control while the Shelton Fire Department provided call coverage.

No firefighters or residents were injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Trumbull Fire Marshals office.
