A manager told police the woman threw a tantrum and later a fire extinguisher.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport woman was arrested after she threw a tantrum on her first day of work at JCPenney, according to police.

Police responded to the store July 21. A manager told police that Francoise Nije, 22, had arrived early for her shift in the optical department on her first day. She immediately had an attitude and raised her voice, the manager told police.

The manager told her that the optical department wasn't open yet, but she could wait in his office and do some paperwork. Her attitude continued and the manager decided to fire her on the spot, police said.
