Trumbull Joins Bridgeport Magnet School Tuition Lawsuit
Trumbull joins Shelton and Stratford in the lawsuit.

TRUMBULL, CT — The Trumbull Board of Education voted to join with Shelton and Stratford school districts to oppose a $3,000 fee for non-Bridgeport students to attend the inter-district Fairchild Wheeler High School and Discovery Magnet School.
More than 600 suburban students attend the schools and generate more than $1.8 million every year, according to the Connecticut Post.
Trumbull sends 96 students to the magnet schools. A state law passed in 2016 allows the school to add the fee on top of what it receives from the state.
