Trumbull K-9 Teams Get National Certification

Trumbull’s two K-9 units are now certified at the state and national level for a variety of police-related tasks.

Officers Lee and Carlson along with canines Cyrus and Storm began class in November and finished mid-February.

They are trained for building searches, evidence recovery, criminal apprehension, rural and urban tracking and narcotics detection.

So far there have been two separate incidents where drugs were detected by the K-9s.
