Trumbull Large Item Pickup Program 2026 Details Announced

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull has announced details for its annual large item pickup program for 2026.

According to the town website, Trumbull offers an annual large item pickup program to help residents dispose of items that are difficult for most homeowners to transport.

There is no additional charge to use the large item pickup program, according to the town.

Trumbull's 2026 large item pickup program will run from April 6 (snow permitting) through the end of September.

Pick ups will be scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and are by appointment only on a first-come-first-served basis, according to the town.

Acceptable items include furniture, appliances, branches, grills, electronics and doors.

Unacceptable materials that will not be picked up include hazardous materials such as oil-based paint, demolition materials, vehicles or tires, propane tanks and trash cans.
